Is Fanelio free?

Yes. Messaging, calls and every feature are free, with no ads.

Who can read my messages?

Only the people in the chat. Messages are end-to-end encrypted, so not even Fanelio can read them. Your secret passphrase unlocks them on a new phone.

Which phones does it work on?

iPhone, Android phones and tablets, and any computer with a modern browser.

Do I need a phone number?

No. You can sign in with Google or email. Adding a phone number is optional and only lets friends who already have it find you.

Does it work in my country?

Fanelio works worldwide. Calls use relay servers that keep working on mobile data.

Why I built Fanelio

My family lives on two continents. I wanted one place where we could talk every day, see each other's faces, share the little moments and know everyone got home safe, without ads and without anyone else reading our messages.

So I built it, for my family first. Now it's for yours too.
