Delete your Fanelio account or data

Delete your whole account

1. Open Fanelio and sign in.
2. Go to Settings › Account.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Can't open the app? Email support@getfanelio.com from the email address you signed up with, or tell us your @username, and we'll delete your account within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your profile: name, @username, photo, about, birthday
• Your sign-in details, phone number and find-me settings
• Your contacts, blocks, settings, shared location, stories and notification tokens
• Your Google Drive backup connection (the backup files in your own Drive stay yours to keep or delete)

What is kept

• Messages you already sent stay in the other people's chats, still end-to-end encrypted, unless they delete them. Nobody, including Fanelio, can read them.
• Technical error reports are deleted automatically within 90 days.
• Reports you sent us about other users may be kept for up to 1 year for safety reasons.

Delete some data without deleting your account

• A message: press and hold it › Delete (or Unsend for everyone).
• A chat: swipe it left in the chat list › Delete.
• A story: open it › ⋯ › Delete.
• Shared location: Settings › Location › Stop sharing.
• Backups: Settings › Storage & backup › Disconnect Google Drive.
• Phone number: Settings › Account › remove your phone number.
